John Deere # 30 combine?

If it's "sagging",I'd say you have a bent, broken, rusted frame member.Time to drag out the welder,jack,'come-a-long',etc and start fixing.

Jim, is it the header itself that is lower on the ends or just the sickle bar? in my mind we need to determine if you have just something bent or broken at the sickle, or if you have structural problems. Picture would help, but we will try to help either way. Thanks, Adam

I will get a pic after I get a broke down tractor out of the field before it rains! Always something.

Nothing rusted or broken, just sagging on the side away from the grain tank. Does that make any sense? The header on the 30 is lifted on one side only. Jim

Here's a pic hope it helps understand what I have sagging. Thanks, Jim

Good looking combine from here! is the feederhouse where it meets the back of the head level? If it is it might be the case that jacking up the low side of the head and putting some weight on it will spring it back up some too as others have suggested. Old iron has some memory, lots of times it will go straight and stay that way.

On occasion, it is not the side that is sagging that is too low, but sometimes the higher side is too high. When checking for bends, breaks, etc. also look the side with the cylinder over as good as you do the sagging one...Is the up height between sickle and ground the 13.5, the 11.5 or a different number all together? Sometimes both sides are no longer "true".
Good luck and please let us know when you find out the reason(s).

The measurement is between sickle and ground.
