John Deere 3010

My John Deere 3010 diesel tractor won"t run. We can pull start it but only runs when it is being pulled. Replaced fuel filters, new batteries, plenty of diesel. Last time it was running it died and i couldn"t restart it unless jumper cables were hooked up. Replaced alternator and both batteries. Motor will not attempt to turn over.

Are you getting fuel to the injectors?

Tell us a little more, when you say it won't turn with the starter, is the starter hitting hard against a "stuck" engine? when you pull start it will it actually run with smoke going up the stack? and when you pull it does the engine roll over freely or will it try to scoot the tires, you may have a combination of problems here, such as fuel related,,starter/battery problem,,or an engine trying to seize up..
