John Deere 302A Serial Number Location

Hello again, where exactly do I find the serial number for a JD 302A. Ive read its on the frame just above and behind frt axle. Ive looked on both sides and cant see anything unless they put them under where the loader bolts to the tractor. Also what about engine numbers? Where would those be and what can you tell from them?

My JD301A has the basic serial number plate on the right-hand side of the front support, or the transmission case. If you"re sitting in the seat, look to your right below the seat on the side of the transmission case. Around the area where the transmission dipstick is located. The engine serial number is located below and to the rear of the fuel pump mounting boss on the right side of the cylinder block.
