John Deere 3055 hi low issue

goodmorning gents, i have a John Deere 3055 that im having an issue out of the hi low, i rebuilt the unit and have rebuilt several over the years, in this particular one i rebuilt all the clutches, seperator plates, piston seals. reassembled and it hold good shifts good but the problem is when i clutch the tractor it immedialty stops like the brakes are applied, i used the shop manual when rebuilding was very careful reassmbling, pressure checks around 150 (148ish). i jacked the tractor up engine off everything rolls easily and smooth, engine started some resistance not much, put it in gear and hit the clutch BAM! IT STOPS. im baffled as i have never had a problem with these before, also all the orings and pipes were changed along with the trans oil pump while i was in the thing.

I can not remember if the JD 3055 has a linkage/valve to make it shift into low when you clutch or not. Never was into a JD 3055. Worked on a lot of JD 2950/55s. They did not have this either but a lot of power shifts do. I have ran into those that will cause the problem your having. The usual cause is a valve leaking internally and engaging both sides of a clutch pack.
Try and find a forum located in Europe. Those tractors where designed and built in Mannheim Germany. So there would be more of them in use in Europe.
The few that were here in North-East Iowa, were either hated or loved, there seemed to be little in between. Seems like they had zero problems with them or they live broken down.
