John Deere 350 Track Loader

Hello! It's been a while, but I bought an old JD350 which turned out to have a lot more problems than I was led to believe, as usual. After a ton of work I got it running great, reverser works, hydraulics are tight. It will spin the tracks in forward and reverse, but it sat for 8 years and the steering clutches are siezed. I've gone through all the steps, adjusting everything, soaking with penetrant, just working the kevers in forward and reverse to no avail. I don't have the energy to pull the finals off this thing. Does anyone have any tricks to free them up?

If you put the bucket against something that can move and try pushing it with the steering levers held back to disengage the steering clutches, but not enough to apply the brakes they might break free. If not you will need to pull it apart and do the steering clutches.

If you soaked the steering clutches themselves with penetrating fluid, the discs may slip if you do get them free.

I've done this with tractors before. The problem is I can't steer it to a tree! lol
