John Deere 350D crawler, float detent hyd control

Have a JD 350D crawler probably 1988. Your guys helped me fix the winch and a track spring problem. All are working well. I have one really quite small problem, the float detent on the 6 way bade is not catching, I have to hold the blade control all the way forward to achieve float. It is kind of a pain but doable.
Would like to get the control handle to catch and hold in the ?float? position, not sure where to look and if it is a ?take the blade control valve apart? job. Am not a very skilled hydraulic tech so that would be a stretch but something exterior would be in my skill set.
Any ideas??
The control is quite tight, not a lot of loose movement in the control,

Usually valves have a removable end cap opposite end of where the control handle goes. There is usually some sort of springs and balls in there. See if you can get a breakdown of your valve from jdparts.
