New to the group and new to the dozer!
My dad and I are doing some updating on a 40 crawler we bought a couple years ago
Things we’ve done so far
-remove tracks
- remove undercarriage and replace tension bolts on idlers
- put track setup back together
- rebuilt the carburetor
- all new wiring to starter switch, generator and coil.
-oil and hydraulic fluid change
-new plugs
-new battery and cable to starter
Waiting on a water temp gauge and ammeter.
Questions I have
1. When I turn the switch on and pull the starter lever, it’s very slow to roll over and will eventually start but not very quick.
Any ideas on what this might be caused by
2.
Would there be any benefit in changing out any of the other electrical?
Thanks for the help!
