John Deere 40 engine block

Hello everyone I have a 1954 John deer 40 and I m looking for a engine block for my tractor cuz the block is cracker through the water jacket if any one know of one or could lead me in the right direction would be greatly appreciate thank you Ed

Where in the water jacket is it craked? Many a block has been repaired done to
that happening, Now if it is internal then would be harder but I ubderstand
there are places that can do it. So where is it cracked that you need a
different block.
 

Also, what is your general location? Someone may know of a place to check with, within a reasonable driving distance of you. Are you willing to pay freight if one is several hundred miles from you, or are you interested in just ones you could pick up? No sense giving you places half a country from you, if you are just going to say it is too far away. (It happens regularly here, just trying to get ideas for you, within your parameters.)
