John Deere 4010 engine conversion

I'm installing a 404 out of a 7700 combine into my 4010 gas tractor. So far I have the new clutch on and the engine is in the tractor frame rails on and is setting on all wheels. Any way I'm curious what you guys are using for oil pans dampener pulleys and water pumps on these conversions

I have done many of these conversions, mail me if you want to know more. Did you make sure that your flywheel set tight on the crank flange,,some flywheels need to have the center turn out some to fit the newer flanged crankshaft, was your crankshaft a 6 bolt flange hub, if it was did you plug the 2 holes that you didn't use? These are simple mistakes that I have came across before. I use the combine water pump and run a flex fan from an auto parts store to give fan to radiator clearance, altering a new style crank pulley lets the hydraulic pump work out,, cut the web piece out of the pump from before you bolt it up,,if you don't there is not enough room to get the belt on..these are a few of the things to think about,,the conversions work out well, and better yet with a non-turbo engine..

I used a 4430 pan,4020 diesel flywheel, machined front pulley to Tim S specs,19 '' flat flex fan, make a notch in motor block for oil line on left side, the 4010 air cleaner is smaller on gas engine than diesel, the throttle linkage was the hardest to change from the other side I think I would get the diesel linkage from a salvage tractor,At least you are using 12 volt rather than 24v
