John Deere 4010

I have a 4010 diesel with a bad differential and have an opportunity to purchase a 4010 lp with a bad engine. Will the rearend on the lp work on the diesel?

The ratios should be the same. The clutch housing from the diesel will need to go over to the LP chassis.

yes they will interchange. I'd swap diesel engine onto LPG trans/differential

pretty sure the clutch housing is the same gas lp or diesel will check my parts book tomorrow

Why? I just put a 4010 diesel engine in a 4010 gas and the only issues are the throttle contol linkages nothing in the clutch.

Yes the clutch housings are the same as well as the clutch,, the flywheels are different..
