John Deere 401B Parking Brake

If yours is the same as my 401 it has a park position in the transmission.
No park brake on it that I know of.
Only option on mine is individual braking or swing the arm in to lock both pedals together.

Just like the 1020. and was said...

Pick a gear with the right stick. My 1020 seems to easily go into Park in gear 1 or 2. Then on the left stick put it into park. No parking break like other models specifically had.

My 401 C is as below- with a PArk Position in the transmission. The right hand gear shift has to be in gear (any), and the left hand lever up and to the left.
Probably clear as mud.... :)

I have a 2020 that has this park lock. How do you get it to release under load? Also mine is not working too good, fairly weak anymore. What are the parts to change to make it strong again?

Also, if you want to have a stronger brake, it is better to put it in gear 1 rather than gear 4. (less torque on the park lock).
