John deere 4020 LP shifting issues.

Hey everyone

I have an issue with shifting on my tractor. I installed a new clutch, machined the flywheel because it needed it got everything put together. Pushed in the clutch and went to shift and its either grinding or the gears aren't engaging at all. I can't even get it into reverse. Also I have the clutch fingers adjusted to where they aren't riding on the fingers of the clutch. Any help is appreciated.

Did you use a Deere clutch tool to set the finger height? Was the clutch disc installed with the long hub toward they flywheel? When assembled were the outside cover bolts tightened to the correct torque? 4020 clutches are not hard but you do need to follow the service manual directions.
