Was using my backhoe yesterday, was driving it around the barn. I stopped tractor and put it in reverse to back up and it wouldn"t move, forward or reverse. Hydraulics also stopped working. I replaced the hydraulic pump some time ago, I don"t think it"s that. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You changed the front closed center radial high pressure pump?
Or your changed the open center transmission charge pump?
Why did you change the pump?

These tractors are known for stripping the splines on the hydraulic pump drive. You suddenly lose all hydraulic function, including direction reverser.

Make sure the pump drive coupling is ok before anything.

In the past few years, I've seen the spline in the engine clutch disk strip out and quit driving the transmission.. If the trans isn't spinning , it's not driving the wheels by making reverser pressure or hydraulics quit working due no oil being put to the front pump.. Seems funny that a direction change would cause the machine to quit driving otherwise , Right ?.... Usually the input shaft splines are worn too....R.S.

Try shifting the transmission gears with the clutch up, if there's no grinding.. either the center has been torn out of the clutch, or the input splines to transmission have sheared; the hydraulic functions may work very briefly, then stop..because the return oil is being routed back to the pump, but some flow is lost to the cooler. If the trans isn't turning, the gear pump isn"t adding charge oil to the front pump.
IF trans DOES Grind & hydraulics work, you possibly have a sheared roll pin in the reverser valve linkage, I believe on rt side of trans.

I now see you said the hydraulics quit working. IF you have to change the input shaft to the reverser, you have to get the clutch cross shaft out of the way, but it won't pull out without removing the loader frame. YOu can cut it in half between the 2 bolt holes where the throw out bearing fork attached, slide each half out for clerance and then weld it back together... beats taking the loader frame off.

Changed the front pump, it sprung a leak I took it out to get fixed they took it apart and something broke inside and scored it up
