John Deere 410C

I have a 410C which I bought new in 1989. It has been a "bullet proof" machine with almost 11,000 hrs. on it. Recently, it has started building excessive pressure in the hose that runs from the main pump to the left side of the hyd. oil cooler and blowing out that hose. I have always serviced it on time and have never had any problems with the machine. It still has plenty of power in all the hydraulics and engine, doesn't use any oil, but this thing has got me baffled. any suggestions????? Thanks in advance

I don't know what's wrong with your machine , but it is nice to hear about "the good ones"

Do you have a JD factory service manual ? if so I'd think it should have some kinda trouble shooing guide that may help find the trouble ?

I believe that oil runs from the pump, through the cooler then back to the transmission. Is it being replaced with the correct pressure rated hose? was the first failure due to abrasion or did it burst due to over-pressure? Also check the hose that exits the cooler and returns to the transmission. Maybe remove both ends and check for a restriction/kink etc. in that line.

Thanks for the reply, I have replaced the hose with the same that was on it since new. I have checked the other hoses and can't find any problems. I'm thinking about pulling the cooler off and having it rodded out but haven't yet. It's kinda starting to drive me nuts!!!!

This machine has been a "GOOD ONE". I have all the manuals form when it was new, but it doesn't cover this part very well... Thanks for your reply.....Ken

the 410c has 2 oil coolers made in one. do you have the
line connected to the uper left connection. what about
the bypass.

I checked the outlet lines, but I'm going to go out and go through that again in the morning. I took the bypass apart and it was fine. Thanks alot for your reply.....Ken
