I need help in what to do about a brace 31754A and special bolt A11575A 5/8 X 3 1/4 inches. My brace is bent in a U shape which a machine shop may straighten but I need to buy a new bolt. All parts information is obsolete. I sandblasted,repainted & replaced everything else. All I need is the bolt and brace from wheel to plow. All advice will be appreciated.

Do you have the old bolt? Does it look like a carriage bolt? The description says high strength so it may be a grade 8 carriage bolt, instead of the common grades 2 or 5. Hopefully the shop can straighten your brace, or make a duplicate.

Parts book says it is a 3-1/4 inch carriage bolt, so why not get a 3-1/2 inch bolt and cut off a quarter inch?

The brace can be straightened with a torch and some heat. then laid on a straight iron pound away.Reheating as needed and where needed. When done quench in oil to cool temper and then put back on. I'm sure a regular carriage bolt would work to hold it till you can find a grade 8 or use a regular bolt with a flat washer till you find one.
