john deere 420w

I pull a Oliver 66 in that class sometimes it has 46 hp. I run out of power more than not as a low gear pull.

Ya, I afraid of that, I think a 420 only like 32 horse, probably choke out in 1st gear, it has fairly new tires, 13.6x28

Just depends. Long chain sandy track. Might
do ok. Short chain. Clay track not much
chance. My little JD has about 80 hp. A
fifteen % faster first gear than you, and
14.9 X 38 tires. And I get beat! But you
never know. Every dog has its day.

We pull one in 2750 when they have that class otherwise 3000, 3500, and 4000. Have wins in all of those classes. Considerable work done to it to make it do it. Went through
a lot of tire options before finding a set of tires that matches hp to track. Trick is to not weight up to the limit in the heavy class so you can have wheel spin otherwise you run
out of hp. Have some videos of it pulling but can't figure out how to post them here.

The only thing that is going hurt you is the tire size you have on your tractor. If you have 28" on it and the boys running 38" will be
putting more rubber to the track than your 28s. You might try your tire pressure at 9-10 lbs.
