John Deere 430

Did the John Deere 430 come with power steering or was it limited to just a few tractors?

430 on up it I believe it was an option.. I know I've seen 520 / 620 with out power steering.
Some one smarter than Me will know for sure.

Power Steering was an option on 430's. Not too many have factory power steering. Nice. desirable option.

I've got a 430 U that has ps and a 430 HC that also has it. 2 others that don't.

Parts book shows the serial number breaks when OS was first offered or was updated .
iirc PS started on the 1957 straight steer and was improved on the 1958 slant steer .

Thank you for everybodys input. Dont know a lot about 430s. My 15 year old son wants one if anyone has a 430 for sale. We are locationed in NE Pa. But can travel for the right tractor.

420 slant steer is the same tractor . Look for a five speed with live PTO . SCV are good too .
