i know there's not many made, but how good, or bad was the Deere 435 tractor?
they seem to sell very well, is that because there good? or not many made?
anyone have any experience on them? are they a 430 with a diesel stuck in them? or a whole different tractor?
thanks for your help!

same as 430 but have a 2-53 detroit; can be souped up a lot ,but lack in torque department, want to buy ours? you can hear them coming a mile away.

They made ~4,600 so they are not rare but they do have the cool factor for todays collectors. The 435 is technically the 440 diesel modified to agricultural use. And the 440 is the industrial version of the 430.

The 435 is not exactly common but they are around. 2 or 3 show up at nearly every tractor show here (western NY).

Is the 435 good? The running gear is essentially a 430. Its 2-53 Detroit diesel is pretty much bullet-proof, if properly operated and maintained. It however has different torque rise characteristics from the gasser. For heavy loads it works best wound up against the governor.

Also......at governed RPM a 435 is LOUD!

Don't know if the 4626 that were made includes the 371 that were assembled in Mexico or not. I have one of those.

I cant remember. Would have to look it up. I do know they made the 435 actually called the 445 down in Argentina for another 10 years or so.
