Dozer runs fine but oil pressure pegs as soon as its started. I'm thinking that its just the gauge because of the age. Manual talks about regulating valve that you can add or subtract shims. Any thoughts ?
 
Welcome to the forums.

Start by checking the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge that reads in pounds, ideally one that is known to be correct. before doing anything else.
