John Deere 4555

Just looking through t house and noticed some 4555 deeres have intercoolers and some don't. My understanding is they did not come with an intercooler. Just curious were all the coolers added by customers or did the laters ones leave the factory with them?

My Deere spec book does not list them as intercooled. The 47 and 49 yes.

I agree with matthies. The way I interpret the 4555,4755,4955 parts catalog is 4555 didn't come from factory with intercooler/aftercooler while the other 2 models had one.

It's how you make a "Poor Man's 47/4955." Install the intercooler and crank up the pump. Very common when tractors still had mechanical injection pumps.
