John Deere 4630 quad range

I have a John Deere 4630 I just bought 6200 hrs on it and when I m in c range and shift from 2 to 3 it will pop out of c range and go into d range just wondering if anyone has any experience with this I m hoping an adjustment can be made or something thanks in advance

Going from 2 to 3 is the only time that it goes from C to D? Common shaft for the speed and range selectors in the cab? If so
the part of the selector for each is worn in some manner allowing the two to jam together when shifting is taking place.

Also, possible is detente for the range control/shift is worn meaning minimal interference overrides the detente.

Check for a missing spring on the lower shifter arm on the transmission. The spring goes from the pin in the lower end of the shift rod up to the cab frame crossmember to counteract the weight of the
shifter cam. Missing spring will do exactly as you describe. part #R56776.

Another thing to check is the two cab mounting rubber donut on the right side of the cab or maybe all four.. If loose, can let the cab move, and pull on the shift levers, pulling them out of gear and range???
