John Deere 48 Loader - Front Mounting Bracket

Hello,

I'm the market for the seemingly elusive front mounting bracket for a John Deere 48 loader.

Item # 27, P/N C19239 as per the diag. & details below.

If anybody has one they'd be willing to part with or perhaps even share some detailed pictures of one with some measurements so I could fab. my own I'd be very grateful.

I am missing one as well. I have one at a welding shop right now getting two made. He farms as well so it got put on hold but it should be done in a few weeks as his corn is now done. I will try to post back pics and let you know how it turned out. Tom

Had one on my last tractor. Should be able to make one if you mount the loader on the tractor and support the front. A proper size piece of C channel with a backing plate should be enough. On mine, only the bottom set of holes were bolted to the tractor. It was on a 2550.

The mount is not actually for a loader, it's for a snow plow that we purchased which was built to attach via 48 loader mounts.

I have a plan in mind how I'll build the mount but would like to have the dimensions as close as possible to factory on the offchance we ever get a 48 loader.

The main measurements I'm looking for are:

Width - The maximum width of the mount pocket.

Depth - The distance between the bottom of the mount pocket & the bracket to tractor mounting surface.

Mounting bolt holes - Are they centered with the mount pocket?

The tractor was traded in but still is on the dealer's lot. I will try to get these measurements for you. Also, maybe some closeup pics.

On my tractor, there were 4 holes on the front end bolster. The bracket has 4 holes also, but was mounted such that the bottom bracket holes were bolted to the top bolster holes. The upper part of the bracket was above the bolster in front of the grill (you can see that in the first pic). The second pic shows that the support arms for the loader were parallel with the ground on the bottom line. Having them any lower would have caused the front end to hit the travel stops too much.

I was told that this loader on a 4020 would be similar in that they would only use 2 sets of holes to mount the loader bracket, but I have not visually confirmed that to be true.

I didn't realize that the tractor was not in your possession so I'm doubly grateful for you taking your time to get the measurements.

I managed to find a picture on the 'net of a 4020 with a 48 front bracket installed & I think it answers my question of whether the mounting holes are centered with the mount pocket.

So, it looks like I only need the width & depth measurements.

of. It's to dark tonight but I'll get one

The 4010 isn't a good starter in the cold so
it's put to bed for the winter. I forgot I
put a squeeze chute in front of it close
enough I couldn't get a very good picture.
I can try again if these aren't good enough.

You bet!

It might be a while before I get to it as the tractor I plan on installing it on is in pieces in the shop. Gotta get it back together along with some other projects out of the way before I can work on the snow plow.

If all goes well I'll have it done by spring when the snow is gone. LOL

I meant to post the pictures of the front mount we made to fit a JD 48 loader.

Nothing fancy. Just a chunk of heavy wall pipe sliced in half with some flat iron glued on to comprise the "pocket" & couple of peices of c-channel trimmed to an offset to form the mounts. Of course the inner diameter of any common sized pipe did not work out to provide the proper clearance in "pocket" area so we went with a larger I.D. pipe and added a shim.

Crude but functional.......

Just have to wonder about the people that sell a loader off a tractor without including the mounting brackets .

I have one just like Hogleg now. I just bought it on Monday and I have all the brackets for my 4010 on now. I was lucky to get all the original brackets plus all the bolts.

What I am needing is the hose routing from the control valve or where the hoses go onto the 4010 tractor from the main control. The control valves were all plugged with caps but I am at loss to where to begin. I have searched the internet for a diagram with no luck.

Tx Jim, thanks for the pictures. Instead of the line under the battery, someone went through the trouble of putting a return line in the transmission filter housing. They did a great job of making a fitting and welding it on the inside as well as the outside of the filter housing. Then I have a line on the right side of the steering housing where you have your line at and it has a T also.

I need to know where the hoses go on the control valve. I have included pictures of the valve I have on the loader. It's all original that I know of.

One small fitting at top then 2 more below that go to the bucket ram. Then I have two open ones or with plugs in them under that and then an open one at the bottom.
