John deere 513 top link setup

I have a john deere 513 bush hogg. I
noticed that the top link wasn't right. I
went to my local john deere dealer and
they gave me a print out of the hook up
for the top link. The print out shows 2
straps of metal that the top link hooks to
and it attracts to the top part of the
bush hogg frame. My question is how long
are those straps are that the top link
connects to the top of the bush hogg?

Thanks

W37728 straps for a John Deere 513, rotary cutter, are 3/8" thick, 2" wide, and 6-3/4 OAL. Holes are centered width wise and centers are 1" in from each end (4-3/4" CL to CL). Top link hole diameter is 3/4(+)" for Category 1 and the other hole diameter, which is about 7/8(+)", fits freely over the spacer, A20880, which is required, and it is bolted solid between the uprights by a 16MM bolt. The actual dimensions from JD may be metric as the hardware for the cutter is metric.

The ones I have seen are approxamately 6 long. However, you can easily figure it out. Hook up the mower, raise the lift arms to proper operateing hieght. Adjust the top link about halfway in/out. Hold it up at approxamately the correct hieght for operateing. You measure(or 'eyeball') the length you need. Use 3/8 by 2(or anything close) strap, drill your holes and you have it.
