1954 60 power trol it has external hydraulics plumbed in but not through the back factory cylinder connection lift works fine going up but the pump makes noise when u let it down like it's pumping against a restriction but it does lower

Take a look at the information below on how the remote cylinder lowers.

Note the operation of the lower check valve.

Take a look at the information below on the lower check valve.

You might consider removing the lower check valve and inspecting both the ball and spring.

Take a look at the information below on the fast drop adjustment with the throttle valve screw.
