How times have changed. That JD 630 was the "BIG" tractor on a lot of the farms it would have been sold new on. Now it is mowing grass. The JD 530 and JD 630 are pretty handy tractors.

Kind of like a 3020 it was a big tractor now most don?t do much field work anymore

630 was top dawg here,then dad bought a 730
diesel.when he quit he sold the 730.
Our 630 as well as our A were the last new

I still bushhog and even do some 3-16s plowing in the spring with my 630. You are right. When my dad bought this tractor in 1960 it was a big tractor. How times change. I love to take her out and work her. I feel like she wants to be productive and not just sit in the barn.

I also like the 630's. I used to own 2 but I sold one. I am the second owner of my 630 , It was the main tractor for the original owners
until 1963 another tractor arrived on the farm. My 630's last job on the farm was pulling trailers around. Mine now bush hog and grades drive
ways.

The 630 is a beast. Try taking her to a plow day she will
preform great. And if you really want to have some fun see if
someone would let you try a big old 830 at a stock tractor pull.
She will outperform anything else in her power class.
