John Deere 720 Injector Work

My 2 cylinder 720 started taking fuel into the crankcase. I am going to start by getting the fuel transfer pump shaft swapped as it had a pretty decent groove worn into it and I've heard that contributes. If that doesn't work, can anyone point me to someone who still works on the old 720s in Minnesota? Preferably northern Mn? Thank you in advance.

Not in Mn. but Garry Power works on the 2-cylinder pumps,Injectors, ect. 970-554-2108 hendrichfarmtractors.com

Don't want to discourage you but I think there are only a few places (companies) that do them. Baring aside an individual here or there. Maybe check in green magazine.

Zips Diesel Service in St. Cloud www.zipsdiesel.com (320) 251-6816 repaired the pumps and injectors on our 730 and 830 several years ago. They’re still in business but you’d have to check if they still do 2cyl repairs.

When my 730D transfer pump shaft had a groove in it I put a washer in the bore where the seals go before installing the seals. This put the seals on a new portion of the shaft.
I am now feeling embarrassed after spending the cost of a set of gears ,
Shaft and seals .
