john deere a ground speeds

Hi everyone,
I finally have my 46 A running and am planning on pulling it this Monday. This is the first time out with this tractor and I was wondering if anyone had any idea on the ground speeds for these. It has the original size tires and a stock engine. Thanks

I have a 47 A so you will find 1st gear giving you around 2.5 mph. I also run stock and depending on weight class you pull, you may spin out in 4500# if you can get it that low, 5500# you will run out of power with the fast first gear and being an original stock engine. I run 13.6 x 38 on my A. Stick with first gear and good luck.
