John Deere AR engine parts

Good day,

Working on the engine from a '47 AR(S/N 267906).

The block & cylinder head are cracked due to water being left in the cooling system. Also, the babbit in the connecting rods has seen better days.

So, I'm going to be in the market for some replacement parts and was curious if there are P/N supercessions or other options that would be an alternative or perhaps an upgrade to the P/Ns I have that I should consider when searching for replacements?

My existing parts:

Block A2324R
Head A2325R
Con rod A2324R(original babbit) upgrade to AA5350R(insert style)?

TIA

By numbers in parts catalog 674, that is the only JD Part numbers for the head and block for that AR serial number. Try tractor salvage yards as Worthington Ag Parts, Worthington MN; 1-800-533-5304. Can repour babbit in rods. Call Pauls Rod and Bearing. Parkville Missouri 816-587-4747.
