John Deere AR Governor Drive Problem

Friends 1950 AR stopped suddenly while running. If you rotate the flywheel the governor, hydraulic pump, distributor, and fan shaft does not rotate.
I had the end plate off the left side of the governor and gear looks good but doesn't rotate when flywheel is turned.
Both pistons are moving but haven't went any further to check crankshaft gear to valve train etc.
Any experiences or ideas of what maay have happened?
Thanks and much appreciated. Ellis

I once bought a 1946 A that the only problem it had was the cam bolts backed out and one broke off. Was not too bad of a fix. It may be possible if the left hand side cam bearing is bad enough maybe the cam dropped down enough so it won't turn the governor. I have had a lot of A's with bad cam bearings causing running issues.

Found the problem. Busted camshaft drive gear.
Now to find what caused it, governor or haudraulic pump drive, locked up maybe??
