John Deere B Clutch

Hello
I am currently working on my 1946 John Deere B and the clutch i adjusted and it snaps in and out nicely but the clutch continues to stay engaged and spin. But like I said it snaps in and out good. Does anyone have suggestions on what i should replace. Discs?
Thanks!!

The 3 springs are the problem. Pop the cover and they will be in there with the castle nuts behind the first plate. I think they are about 3 bucks a piece. Yours are probably squashed and they do not release. Cheap and easy fix.

We had a B doing that one time. It turned out to be the bearing was locking up.It would free up and when you started the tractor it would lock up. Replaced the bearing and it worked fine.

There is also an adjustment on the pulley brake. It is a setscrew with a locknut on it. Set it so that after the clutch snaps out it will soon stop the pulley from turning. You can find the right setting after some trials. That's the best I can describe it but am no expert. I just used these tractors for about 60 years. I know there are others who can better describe it to you.
