i have a 40 jd b with a cyclone block and flat head around 13.5-1 compression 37-38 hp no stroke looking to do offset grind on the crank with custom rods want price on crank and rods and expected hp gains any one that can do this work please respond or email is open

Why all the work for just an offset grind! Waste of time just stroke it. U will be alot happier with it . 7 inch is what I would do and it will last

yeah just afraid that it would not hold up lot of money to blow apart, plus what kinda clearencing would you have to do to fit that in i dont want to go thru the case

If you have custom rods made it will vary what grinding you have to do, but for the most part, yes you will have cut holes in the crank case. With stock rods you can go 6 inch with grinding on the cam and some on the crank case. I ran that for years but then went bigger. Call ray at extrem tractor he's the B man

Send me your rods and crank. 1200 bucks will get you 6.5 stroke and cam that will drop in easy and you should see An honest 46 48 Hp depending on how well the head breathes

Many just make sheet-metal troughs that close the slots in the crankcase and separates the trans from the crankcase..
