Does anyone have an idea of how much clearance should be in between the GEARS on the countershaft? Trying to rebuild the transmission on our B and they seem to have a little play in between the spacers and I"m not sure if this is normal or not. I"ve gotten the backlash set for the bearings but there still seems to be a little play in between! PLEASE HELP! Thanks for reading!
 
I just took mine apart and I don't think there should be any play. I thought the spanner nut on the end of the shaft is supposed to take up all the play. Mine was so beat up from whoever took it appart the last time that I ended up getting a different one from the local salvage yard (JD wants $115 for one) today. Roger
