John Deere Battery Manufacture

Good afternoon,
Does anyone know what Manufacture john Deere was using for their batteries in the 40's

I don't think Deere was having batteries made for them at that time.
Maybe they used Delco or Prestolite branded but not sure.

I wonder who makes them now? I had a JD Strongbox last over 12 years!

I was going thru my stuff just to see what I could find, one thing from the early 40s just mentioned that "batteries should be purchased locally"

I don't think Deere put their name on battery's till the early 70's, I think Excide makes their batterys now and they are owned by Johnson Controls

Usually get 12 to 13 years out of a strong box
