anyone ever use Zeuss AGM batteries in their tractor? Like Zeus Battery PCPL210-12?

Nope, never heard of them. When I replace batteries I go with the cheapest I can find. If I get two years out of a "Value" battery, I'm money ahead, and I have never gotten less than two years out of a "Value" battery. Pretty sure the ones in my truck are going on 5 years old.

Honestly a tractor is not going to benefit from anything an AGM can offer.

Thanks, unfortunately correct size battery for 3010 is not cheap.

I like the marine rv battery in the 560 ih diesel instead of of the 2 six volts , one lasted 9 nine and the second 7 .
I get them
From Autozone I. May when on sale.
They aren’t as high a cca as some but make up for it in abuse and reliability.” I store tractor with solar charger ,add to life

Those old 3 EH batteries were a poor option for a battery.The design of them did not stand up very long before they were junk. Don't really know why it should made any difference but they only would last about 3 years back when. I get about 5-10 years out of the Grp 31's i use now. May seem like over kill on some but everything will interchange this way now.

Same here Randy, they are not cheap, but the JD Strongbox are by far the best batteries I've ever used, and with all my rolling stock, I've used a lot of batteries.

I have not been impressed with any AGM batteries I've fooled with. You don't seem to get enough extra life out of them to justify the cost. I use screw top group 31s in just about everything I have. Sometimes you have to make some modifications like on your JD, but 31s just seem like they hold up better and have the cranking amps to go with it. Also, with screw tops you don't have nearly the connection and corrosion problems you have with standard post.

For my 6 volt tractors I use AMG batteries. I've a couple that are 10 years old and still doing well. And I use conventional lead acid batteries in the 12 volt tractors, and I use Group 31 if they'll fit.

I’ve converted all my 6v to 12.
I’ve got some regular lead acid batteries that are going on 10 years old, and they are just standard cheap parts store batteries. I’ve also got high dollar batteries that don’t last over a couple of years. I guess a lot of it is luck of the draw and how well they are maintained.

Those liking JD batteries have you compared the prices to the high end Napa batteries? Napa are almost half the price JD and I regularly get 8-10 years out of them.

The skinny batteries are not my favorite.

The local farm store sells a cheaper option of skinny battery 800 dollars for a battery seems excessive

The only thing I do sorta like is you can yank battery box and all out and take it with you. I guess that sorta a feature. Never mind you can’t set it down anywhere except a pallet between the boards or it tips over

Gas or diesel? My suggestion on the diesel is to make your own battery box and convert to 12v if you are doing 2 of those 860 dollar things that would be an incredible risk imo with that type of charging system.

Gas it’s already 12. Use a cheap battery and install a trickle charger. Will last a long time
