Have a Bwa disk about 21ft wide manual fold. Is there any mods/ideas to make the wings fold a bit easier. Springs are in good shape. Thanks

Is there any way to shorten the springs or their attaching hardware? That would make the springs help you more to lift?

Maybe tighten the tension on the springs, at 55 plus years old they may have lost some tension.

Check the operator's manual or parts list to see if there was a hydraulic fold option that could be copied.

One of the old 1940's or 1950's Deere straight disks has a hand crank on a half circle rack and pinion to raise and lower the wing gangs, was it the JD S series disks?

Trade it in for a hydraulic fold disk?

Make sure the hinges are loose, (greased). As said, springs are right tension. I had a 470 IHC manual fold. 12' center, 16' with wings. I had to adjust the springs when I changed to 24" disc blades from 20"....James

Dad had one of those when I was early high school years. The only way I could fold it was to get the disk on a good slope to get a little advantage in folding. On level ground I was out of luck. It was a good disk but in a few years was traded for a hydraulic fold.
