John deere circa

Hello, I recently bought a John Deere calendar and Ive noticed several tractors have Circa written by by them what does that mean? 2.Is an eagle beak front end the same as an anteater front end? Good Tidings to you all!

Circa 1920s means it was built around that time but not exactly.

Its a way to give an idea of about when something was made. Say Circa (1900) or Circa (1930)

eagle beak is a new one to me. Anteater refers to the IH 2+2's of the late 70's and early 80's era. There is also "Eagle Hitch" which was Case's propitory hitch of the 50's.

"Circa" is Latin. The convention used to be to use Latin words in italics, but I guess, no more.
Circa, c, ca, cca, etc. all signify the Latin word for "about" or "around."

In the context of most historical and anthropological documents, it means "around the time of."

Early unstyled John Deere A's and B's with wide front were also refered to as "Anteater front".
