After a few years of sitting, my 1944 John Deere D has a new Mag,Spark plug wireing,and plugs. Next comes the carb. What do I need to do besides cleaning. In other words is it more than a simple carb to work on? Les

Lester; I also have a 44 D. Last April, I met the guys from Robert's Carb, and got the drill bits for cleaning out the passages. It's RUST that's the problem. Also shows the one passage that gets missed. Have the video also. Now, to fine the time to get the carb done!! Good luck, Bobmn

Thank' for the help Bob. I am behind on my projects,and might not get to it for a while. I can't even get gas to drain out of the bowl,so it must really be rusted,and plugged. Les
