John Deere G compression

Hi, I’ve got a 1949 John Deere G puller, looking to get more hp. I’m trying to find out the cheapest best way to bring the compression up on it. It has a 7-1 power block and a flat head on it. If anyone could give me some ideas I’d greatly appreciate it. Don’t know much about John Deere’s. Thanks in advance

We do performance grinds on cams, redo carbs with additional jetting, redo dist. for added hp and make a fuel bowl system so your not running out of fuel.

probably have lots of compression with that combo. Time to improve the cam , airflow and fuel flow.

We also do port work on heads and manifolds. Video is my wife driving her 48 G in 6500 Div 2 class for the win. It has a stock stroke and 6-3/8 bore. Head is ported and cam is a performance one of ours. Stock head that has had the eyebrows milled off to be close to a flat head. The missing in the video is from the iPad recording. Tractor didn't miss a beat.

Sounds pretty good! How much would it cost to have the cam worked on? Just not entirely sure what needs to be done to it to get a little more power. I gutted mine every class I put it in but it luged really good just not quite enough power. Do you have a phone # or something I could reach you by?
