John deere g Grille

We are currently making fiberglass replacement grilles. Contact Brian at 605-359- 20 four three

You may have a hard time finding a really good set. Certainly a perfect pair of grills will be pricey. For the same- or probably less- money you might fix what you have. I googled "tractor grill straightener" and found these people.

The grilles that are currently on my G would need a lot of work. I was just wondering if anyone had gotten a pair of fiberglass ones and how they were standing up. Tom in Mn.
Here is a picture of a set on a G pulling tractor. The hood itself is fiberglass also. Call Brian at 605-359-20 forty three.

Ron this is what one of the grilles look like. I don’t think that it would be worth the time to try and straighten them both. I wonder how much fiberglass grilles would cost? Thanks for your input! Tom in Mn.

My son is the one making them. I talked to him about a set and he said that for the best fit you would need to go with the hood and nose piece as well as the instrument panel. The reason is the different thickness of the fiberglass. Also he currently isn't making the holes for the gas tank necks and the mounting of one on a stock tractor would be a lot of work compared to what we are doing for pulling tractors. We do have new mesh for the grilles themselves if that would be of help.

Thank you for the information. I’ll have to consider what you have said and think about the cost factor. Any idea how long it takes to make them? Tom in Mn.

I have straightened grills that were much worse than that.
Just takes some time and some tools.
I used stuff I had in my shop.
No special tools.
Time and patience and a big block of wood.
