John Deere L tractor

Hello, was interested in finding out some info on a tractor for a someone. its model L the pistons are 0.30 3 1/4 aluminium. he needs just one piston and a set of rings. he has looked everywhere to find none. I see in the parts catalog the 2 options for oversized pistons are 0.20 and 0.40 none for the(0.03) size which he needs.he"s looking for a cheap solution. not to have the block bored and having to buy new pistons. Any idea as to what to do.

Keep an eye on ebay. A lot of times rings pop up on there that are the size you need. I havent' seen any in a while though. The guy that usually has some listed has had .03 rings listed on there before. I bought a set of rings from him for my LA. They were correct in size and dimension and looked identical to the originals.
