Im having issues with my M. It has been running fine for several months now. I rebuilt the Carb a couple months back and got it adjusted to run good. Today i went out to run it and it ran fine for about 15 minutes then suddenly died, i came around on the carb side of the tractor and fuel was pouring out the air intake. I turned the fuel off, drained the carb and let it set a few. Restarted it and would run shortly and do the same thing. Anyone know what is going on? My guess is maybe the float but i dont know much about carbs.
thanks

Since the float controls the level of gas in the bowl, I would say you are on it.
Maybe somehow got a little piece of trash is allowing gas to flow when the bowl is at the top and closing the valve?

Sounds like the needle and seat have trash in them, or not seating correctly. Alot of people now are putting an inline, modern fuel filter on older tractors due to this. 50, 60 70 yr old tanks are hardly perfect anymore.

I cleaned out the sediment bowl which had quite a few peices for rust in it, i replaced the gasket and screen in the bowl, cleaned the fuel lines and blew out the carb. It's running fine now. thx
