John Deere Model 50 Distributor

I have a John Deere Model 50 with a Delco Remy Distributor. Does someone know the number for the points, condenser, and rotor at Napa?? Tractor is in a different location and I would pick them up at Napa on the way to the tractor. Napa says they have about 3 different sets that we could match up if I would bring mine by. Not really convenient as tractor is about 50 miles from me right now. Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forums.

The parts catalog shows two Delco distributors, and both use the same points, condenser, and rotor.

Points: Delco #1911119
Condenser: Delco # 1869704
Rotor: Delco # 1905590

Here is a link to the 50 parts catalog for you so you can double check the numbers.

There was a post on here somewhere years ago where a member by the name of Mike M listed off the Napa Echlin brand part numbers for the points and condensers. I know I've had to go back a few times by Google search to find it. Maybe when I get home I'll see if I can find it and write it down

My Napa does not have the delco numbers, maybe your numbers will help jar the young persons mind. Thanks alot.

No surprise that your NAPA doesn't have the Delco numbers, however your NAPA can cross the Delco numbers to their ECHLIN numbers, such is done many times a day in many places.

You can cross the Delco numbers to ECHLIN if you use the link below to go to the online ECHLIN ecatalog. Just type a Delco number in the box that says, "Enter Competitor/OE #" and the program will cross them and show the ECHLIN part numbers. If the counter person can't do it maybe you can show them how.

Delco 1911119 Points = ECHLIN CS63A or CS763A or CS763P (the options are the multiple grades they offer)
Delco 1869704 Condenser= ECHLIN RR174 or RR174SB
Delco 1905590 Rotor = ECHLIN RR83 or RR83SB

Thank you very much! I will give it a try. I'm not getting any fire to my spark plugs. I am getting fire to my distributor so I thought this might be a good starting place. It started and ran for a minute and died. Thanks for your help.

Put an new condensor on it and it started so fast it scared me!!!! Much appreciated. I am posting another question about my Model A. Thanks again!
