John deere model 52 plow problems

Hi I have a model 52 plow it lifts 3/4 of the way up and doesn't go any further. It starts jumping. It has an enclosed clutch and the parts don't seem to be worn. It has both new springs in it. When it's sitting on blocks it cycles just fine.
Anyone have problems like this?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

You need to be patient. You have posted about this three times in less than 24 hours. It may take a while before some has an answer for you. Not everyone is familiar with this plow and lift, myself included.

The first 2 didn't show up on my feed yesterday when I posted them. Didn't think they uploaded. After I posted this morning now all of them show up and can't delete them.
Sorry

I'm not familar with this clutch nor plow but things I do see are if that slotted hole in the piece with the arm on it and the keywayed hole has any bulge so to speak in the side of the slot it may not lift completely also there is some wear on the opposite end of that piece not bad but might be enough to not lift well. Then there is some wear on that sprocket looking piece along with that roller looks worn to me. Not sure what diameter it should be but has some wear on it.

I can tell you from using a mechanical lift on an Oliver plow, the last quarter of the way or so, they just lift harder. Dad used a run a tire chain on his to keep the wheel from sliding when it got near the top. We use one for plow day every year and ya, if it's muddy or there's wet grass or something on the headland, we have to drag it until it hits dry ground. It's just the nature of them.

Is your lift assist spring hat runs from the frame to the top of the axle correct? Common for them to be broken or missing. There is a balance between to loose and too tight that makes the trip cation work smoothly. Your trip parts look like they should work fine to me. Most trip problems that I see are broken spring or dried stiff grease. Good luck, Mike

Did a model 52 have a lift assist spring? it's did. I don't see anywhere it would even hook

Thanks
