I posted this in Implement alley but though I would post it here as well.
I bought a JD model 'B' drill today. Mainly I needed a drill with a grass seeder on it to seed a few acres hay this year as well as a five acre CRP filter strip. I found a manual for a FB drill in the file cabinet from when we had a FB years ago. Mainly I just want to have a chart for both the large and small seed boxes. Would the chart for the FB be the same as for the B? When I was a kid there were lots of FB and FB-B drills around here but I don't ever recall seeing these B's with the galvanized seed box. Anything else I should know about them?
I have a Great Plains 30' drill but it doesn't have a grass seed attachment and it is a pain to clean out for just a few small patches every now and then. I look forward to pulling the B drill with our 1020.
