John Deere Model MT Tractor

I have a John Deere Model MT Tractor with what I believe is a cultivator. I am trying to find the year, the approximate value and any other information. The tractor has been sitting for many years, needs some new tires and does not turn on. Any help is appreciated.

I may have mixed up the serial numbers. I also have a 950

Engine serial #: T042390202152 4239DN003
That serial number looks like it is for a 4 cylinder, 239 cid, naturally aspirated diesel engine, which would not be in MT without very major modification. (I don't think it would be in a 950 either, it should have a 3 cylinder Yanmar.)

The serial number tag for an MT should be on the dash a below the steering wheel. It will have MT on it and then below that there will be a MT followed by a 5 digit number.

As I said these numbers, "Engine serial #: T042390202152 4239DN003" appear to be for a 4-cylinder diesel engine. Do you have an unattached engine setting there? Can you post a picture(s) of where you got these engine numbers?

You have a nice, complete MT tractor.

I, however, am more curious/interested in the 40 or 420 next to it with the side dressers.

I think the picture you posted of the front wheels is from the 40/420 because the MT has front wheel weights. ;)

Sorry, I have 4 tractors I took pictures of the other day and one was a JD 950. Another is a 420T. I am pretty sure I took the serial number off the MT but I don't know where it went apparently
