john deere mt

Has anyone ever heard of or seen a John Deere MT tractor? Apparently it's a two-popper, about 24 hp.

I have ! (raised hand in the back of the class-waving like mad). I think there was lots of them made. IIRC it's a 2 cyl. Vertical configuration at about the H.P. you say. Nice utility type tractor. HTH

It's the taller row crop version of the M. Vertical two cylinder, 101 ci. Live hydraulics, used special quick attach integral equipment. Great little tractor. I have a '52 that my grandfather bought. Horsepower is actually around 17-19.

Real handy little tractors that don't burn much gas.

I think the 24 HP rating is a bit high. If mine truly made 18 hp I would be surprised. Unless you add a modified 3pt. hitch they have their own equipment you can collect which is almost as fun as owning the tractor. Here is my MT with the MT72 snowplow.
