John Deere one bottom plow conversion

I purchased a one bottom horse drawn walk behind John Deere plow and my goal is to turn it in to a hydraulic trailer plow for my farmall m. My only problem is I have no Idea where to mount the wheel assembly, and the hydraulic cylinder. Plus its a dual action cylinder and I'm using the farmall lift all system. If you guys need me to upload pictures I can, just let me know.

Forget that stupid idea. Just get yourself a correct plow for that tractor. And don't destroy a collector item.

Ditto on what Leroy says! "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard".LOL An M is easily capable of 2 or 3 bottoms. Your 'homebuilt' will never work right,and probably cost more than buying the right plow.

Search Tempest is their web crawler, it is a combination of all craigslist sites.

for some unknown reason: the Louisville KY craigslist area is full of pull type plows compared to other areas.

do not know where you live, but if you can fine one in workable condition or one you can make work,

as other have said, might be much easier than building one from scratch.

I agree! Hate to say it, but that just doesn't sound good....

The major problem I see is that you are going to get a single bottom plow rigged up to go behind this M, and it isn't going to plow right, THEN you are going to hook that beast of a tractor to it, and just destroy the plow... Then you are out, Money, Time, and a nice plow!!

Just track down an old trip plow. 2 bottoms if you don't want to work the tractor much at all. Would be twice as easy for you to operate, ZERO "fab" time to get it ready to go, just hook on and plow!

Just for fun maybe you could hook it up to the tractor and have someone drive and grab the handles and see how it would have worked behind horses. In the movies they always show the Pioneer Farmer turning Sod in the middle of the prairie until he either drops of brings in a crop.

We tried a Horse drawn one man cultivator behind a garden tractor and it wasn't too bad. A little awkward at the end when turning around was required.Cleddy
