Can someone help me resolve a fuel problem on my John Deere R. The injectors are not getting diesel, we loosened the fuel lines at the injectors and turned the tractor over with the pony engine, no fuel. We also checked the fuel lines for blockage all the way to the filters, no blockage. We also installed new fuel and fuel filters.
The small lift pump beside the fuel filters is pumping fine, but the fuel is not getting past the injector pump on top of the engine.
Something somewhere has the fuel shutdown, maybe the injector pump is bad? We also removed the fuel filter assembly, and examined the rod that delivers fuel up to the injector pump, the rod appears loose...maybe it should be that way. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
