John Deere square baler 336

Are jd 336 baler any good going to look at one what do I look for what are they worth thanks

Yes JD sq balers are good. I prefer them especially the 336/346 & up models because they are easier to time than other brands. These JD models only have 2 chains that require timing. 336 is a smaller capacity than the 346 because it has a narrower pickup and half the hay dogs.

I have one, great baler. Mine came from ND on one of the big hay farms, probably made a million bales before it start on my 40 acres. Knotters gave me trouble but once I got that its a great machine. I did put a "bale ski" in the chute and that really made a nice consistant bale size. Bob

When they came out new our dealership sold a bunch of them, I was trained on them back then, and I was sent out to get them started on the first day of running,, my boss always said that if a customer was shown how to adjust and run a unit and it worked well from day one he would stay happy, and be back for more equipment later..he was right,,that don't happen anymore...

One old farmer that traded in a worn out New Holland remarked that "on the old baler you would stand and wait for the bale to come out,, on the 336 you skipped that part,, a bale would be bumping your b$tt when you turned around"
