john deere tractor options

What are pros and cons of jd about 200 hp with front wheel assist. Would like a lower priced option that keeps on running. Any thing to stay away from or avoid or look for would be great.

Those are all good ones . You can buy cheaper but not better 8300 isn?t a great option because they still cost a lot of money . 4850 is good had 3 with over 13000 ours and no issues . Don?t know if there is an updated air filter system for the 4960 they would plug air filters faster then you wanted in really dry dusty conditions . I. Could put you onto an Agco that?s an 2006 that?s falling apart for about the same money it was an alright tractor just junky. You could buy an old Steiger just poor hydraulics and pretty big for most jobs but cheap . You could hitch all the neighbors horses together if you wanted and get some work done that way would be cheap if they fed em

I admire your matter of factness. While the horses bring unbelievable traction their hydraulics are a bit sporadic and even though they don?t have a SOCP to contend with their air filter leaves a bit to be desired.

I would only take a 4960 if it was half the price of a JD 8300. Good tractors but an 8000 series is just nicer and better in almost every way.
